Who Killed Ghost?
We’ve ruled out Paz, Lakeisha, and Tommy, and we’re still clueless. We’ve been waiting to find out who killed Ghost, and we’re still on our toes with just as many speculations as we had before this episode aired; if not twice as many. In this episode, we got to see things from Councilman Tate’s point of view.
This episode started with Councilman Tate having us think he was turning into a full-fledged wino. However, he quickly came to his senses while attempting to begin safeguarding himself only to dig himself a deeper hole.
How much hate can a person have bottled up for one man that he’d not only place himself in danger trying to destroy this person, but also put a hit on this person’s life?
Councilman Tate wrestled with himself over and over on whether he should give Ghost a heads up. He even got the nerve to go to him “man to man” and tell him that he’d put a hit on him. After everything Tate and Ghost have gone through together, Tate still had a soft spot for him. But because Ghost was so arrogant, Tate chose to let things unfold as they may.
In this episode, we got to see Cedric the Entertainer in a different light.; alongside his on-screen son, who goes by the name of Carter. We’re used to Cedric as being the funny, big personality having teddy bear. But we got to see him toughen up as he played a gritty, not afraid to get his hands’ dirty hitman, by the name of Croop, who was hired by Councilman Tate to kill Ghost.
My Brother’s Keeper
However, we all know that Ghost is a force to be reckoned with all by himself. But let’s not forget on this day, lucky for him, he had his brother Tommy with him, and that’s a two-person army anyone going to war would want on their team. Although Tommy and Ghost still weren’t seeing eye to eye, they always had each other’s back. This time was no different as Croop, and his son Carter set out to kill Ghost, causing Ghost and Tommy to do what they did best, fight back.
When the dust settled, Tommy had killed Croop, and Carter was on a mission to avenge his father’s death.
After years in Hollywood, Larenz Tate finally got the chance to work alongside his brother Lahmard Tate. They played the role of brother’s on Power, and I’m sure just as in real life, Tate’s brother Kamaal (Lahmard) is his keeper on the show as well.
Lucky for Councilman Tate that he’s also law enforcement. When Carter comes snooping, he catches Tate slipping. Still, his brother Kamaal swoops in like a superhero and saves the day, leaving Carter in a body bag.
I think Councilman Tate had on the whole armor of God during this episode. Either that or he has nine lives because he escaped death and prison a few times this episode. His brother really is his keeper. Imagine going through all of that only to find out, in the end, your problem was no longer a problem. Ghost was dead, and Councilman Tate was back on top of his game, calling shots and making moves.
Will we ever find out who killed Ghost? Will Councilman Tate finally become Governor?
